A new adventure begins...

Many of you “rode along” with me on my cross-country bicycle ride in the summer of 2012. I am pleased to announce that I am preparing to begin another long distance bicycle ride being dubbed the “TOUR OF THE LEAVES.” I will begin this 2500 mile ride in Minneapolis, Minnesota on July 31, 2013 with the goal of ending in Bar Harbor, Maine as the fall leaves are turning color.

The “TOUR OF THE LEAVES” bicycle ride provides me with the opportunity to combine my passion for bicycle touring with a desire to honor my mentor and former law partner, Del Grosenheider, who was diagnosed in December 2012 with ALS - commonly known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. Del and I are joining forces to use the ride as a vehicle to promote awareness of this devastating disease and raise funds in support of the ALS Association.

For me, the “Tour of the Leaves” bicycle ride is nothing short of a true labor of love. I hope you will join Del and me and come along for the ride.

  1. Hi, Kim. Is there some place I can see a map of your route? I am in Connecticut and wonder if you are coming anywhere near. Thanks!

    1. Hi Rebecca -

I posted an overview map at one time on the blog, but removed it because my sister suggested I find a better one. I will probably do that closer to the ride date. I am on the road the next few weeks and have not had the time to do it.

      Thanks,

      Kim
